Cougar Monitoring Secures Contract For High Profile NHS Site

Cougar Monitoring has been appointed to provide the manned security at a prestigious new health and social care centre at Brierley Hill, West Midlands, which is due to open in May.

The new £27 million award winning health and social care centre is the biggest of its kind in the country and will provide integrated services for three GP practices consisting of 10 GPs serving 14,000 patients, three dental surgeries, audiology, chiropody and leg ulcer services together with providing a new home for local council social services staff.

Cougar is supplying five full time and one part time uniformed officers, who have already started work guarding the site.

Daren Hill, Operations Director at Cougar Monitoring, said: “This is a flagship centre for the NHS, so we’re extremely pleased to have been appointed. It’s also gratifying that four members of the team were previously unemployed and that we have been able to give them full training and get them back into work.”

Established in 1996 by two senior ex-police officers, Cougar Monitoring, based in Cradley Heath, West Midlands, has grown into a premier supplier of security solutions with over 8,000 customers in the UK. It provides a "one stop shop" for security and in addition to manned guarding provides state-of-the-art monitored CCTV equipment, key holding, emergency response, and mobile patrols.
